Issue #3 – July 2026

The third edition of the U2Demo newsletter reflects the project’s growing momentum as it moves towards the demonstration phase. This issue features new scientific publications and public deliverables, research presentations at CIRED and PSCC 2026, insights from the second U24U webinar on energy sharing and flexibility, and the launch of the new Webinar Hub and YouTube channel. It also highlights recent activities at the General Assembly in Karlsruhe, the BRIDGE General Assembly, and EUSEW 2026, while showcasing U2Demo’s increasing visibility through podcasts and stakeholder engagement. Issue #2 – February 2026

The second edition of the U2Demo newsletter marks a major step as the project moves from design to real‑world deployment. It highlights the transition into active development, testing, and integration of the open‑source platform and algorithms that will power peer‑to‑peer energy sharing across Europe. This issue features updates from the four pilots, including community engagement activities such as Otterbeek’s Energy Café, and showcases recent academic contributions and conference highlights from IEEE ISGT Europe, ENLIT Bilbao, and UNICAMP. It also introduces partner spotlights on TNO and VITO, recaps the webinar on Europe’s legal and regulatory landscape for energy sharing, and reports on the consortium’s General Assembly in Bratislava. The edition closes a preview of upcoming events and milestones.

Issue #1 – July 2025

The first edition of the U2Demo newsletter marks a key milestone in this Horizon Europe project, celebrating its first year of progress. It highlights the launch of the project website and social media channels, the development of open-source platforms for peer-to-peer energy sharing, and progress across all eight Work Packages. Updates include in-depth looks at the four diverse pilot sites in the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, and Portugal, as well as recent research contributions and event highlights from ENLIT Europe and the BRIDGE General Assembly. The issue also celebrates the Otterbeek Project’s EU Award for Local Energy Action and announces an upcoming webinar on legal frameworks for energy communities.
