Description
Country: the Netherlands
Stedin is the grid operator in most of South Holland and the provinces of Utrecht and Zeeland: a predominantly urban and industrial region. They ensure that more than 2.3 million households and business customers have energy to live, work and do business.
Role under the Project
Stedin’s role in the U2Demo project focuses on its expertise as a distribution system operator (DSO), contributing to the development and testing of grid flexibility services and integrating grid constraints into peer-to-peer energy trading mechanisms. It collaborates closely with project partners to explore innovative solutions for grid management and ensure that energy sharing models are aligned with technical and regulatory grid requirements.
Stedin also facilitates pilot activities at the Dutch Living Lab, supporting the implementation of technologies for sustainable and efficient energy distribution.
