Exaion is a subsidiary of the EDF group (Electricité de France), created in 2020, which operates eco-responsible, high-performance, and sovereign data centers and services.
It supports developers, companies, and institutions in their intensive computing projects and Web 3 deployment. The technical domains covered by Exaion are: Blockchain and Web3, Graphic computing, Scientific computing and AI , and cybersecurity.
Exaion is organized into three verticals: finance, creative industries and media, energy and industry.
Since 2022, Exaion has been present in Canada where it serves the North American market through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Exaion Inc. Exaion is building and operating two data centers in Canada, one of its own, and one on behalf of the University of Sherbrooke, connected to quantum computers (as part of PINQ2 program).
Role under the Project
Leader of WP3, that aims to specify and develop the open-source P2P trading and energy sharing platform based in blockchain/DLT. The WP aims to build a reliable platform with a smooth user experience, fetching data from different sources and integrating them with dataspaces, considering high cybersecurity and interoperability standards.
